November is CPR Month!

November is Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Month! Did you know that CPR could be the key to saving someone’s life?

CPR is a lifesaving procedure that has the potential to increase chances of survival from sudden cardiac arrest. The purpose of CPR is to keep oxygenated blood flowing throughout the body to the brain and other vital organs.

Performing CPR on patients can decrease the risk of brain damage or even death!

  • In Canada approximately 60,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of the hospital in homes and public places.
  • Unfortunately, the majority of people who witness a cardiac arrest do not perform CPR.
  • Being familiar with CPR and knowing how to respond in a cardiac arrest emergency can increase the chance of survival by 2x!

Learn CPR so you can help save lives today!
