The Basics

Electrodes:
Adult Pads are stamped with an expiry date and usually good for two years from purchase

Child Pads are stamped with an expiry date and usually good for two years from purchase

Battery:
Has a stand-by life of five or seven years, depending on the type of battery you purchase The nine volt battery is needed for the unit to operate properly in stand-by mode
